BAUMIT Klima RK 70 (Kalkin RK 70) N Fine finish lime render - 25kg

Product: Baumit RK70 is an easy to use, pure hydraulic lime based render/plaster which is  creamy white in colour and suitable for use throughout the whole interior of the building. Because of it’s high breathability it can be used as a top coat in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens and can also be used as a plain or fine finish plaster depending on the method of finishing.

- As a fine finish render for external and internal use.

- As a bonding coat render/plaster to enable adhesion of subsequent coats.

APPLICATION

Baumit RK70 should be mixed by a plaster whisk with clean tap water to a smooth consistency and then applied by hand or it can be spray applied by machine. It is typically applied at a thickness of 2mm on to sound substrates and then left to stiffen. Once stiff the plaster can be sponged with a fine sponge or a steel trowel can be used to produce a finer finish. The sponge finish would be recommended for external applications.

Minimum layer thickness: 2mm (topcoat layer); 5mm (keying layer)

Each 25kg bag of Baumit RK70 will cover up to 10m2 at 2mm thickness. As with all lime based materials, it should only be used when temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius and away from strong, drying winds and direct sunlight. This product will cure at a rate of 1mm per day in optimum conditions.
